We will never forget – Anzac Day

April 14, 2016

"It’s hard to describe the emotions I experience when attending an Anzac Day Dawn Service, or for that matter, any Anzac Day Service," Federal Member for Fowler, Chris Hayes said.

"The Dawn Service is particularly moving, there’s just something about that time of the day with the sun rising – the emotions are tangible and I am always moved beyond words."

This Anzac Day Chris will be attending four services, and will be represented at a fifth service by a staff member.

"It is a privilege to attend the many local services held on Anzac Day and I would encourage anyone who has never attended, to take the time to pay their respects to those who fought for us just over 100 years ago."

"For me, Anzac Day defines how Australian’s act in adversity and how we pull together and act as a committed nation."

"It is right that we commemorate the extraordinary effort, courage and endurance of those who served our country and to remember that peace should never be taken for grant."

"We will never forget," Chris Hayes said.
